Chicago Proxies Refund Policy

Version dated October 10, 2026. We sell time on real hardware in a real Chicago rack, so the question of refunds is mostly a question of whether the line did its job. This page says when you get money back, in what form, and when you do not. It is short on purpose.

When a refund is due

If your line has a fault that we cannot repair, you are owed a refund of the time you did not get. A fault means the line itself does not work: the modem is down, the SIM has lost service, the proxy port does not answer, or the address consistently fails to leave the carrier network. We try a fix first, which may include moving you to another device in the rack or to one of our other US cities at no charge. If after that the line still does not work, we credit the unused part of the period, counted from the moment you reported the problem.

Refunds are issued as credit to your Chicago Proxies account. Credit never expires, it can be spent on any plan and any carrier, and it is applied automatically at your next checkout. We issue credit rather than reversing payments because card and crypto reversals are slow, cost fees and sometimes fail, while credit is instant and keeps you on the rack. In genuinely exceptional cases, such as a duplicate charge, we return the payment by the original method.

Credits for outages

If the Chicago rack, or the specific device you rent, is confirmed down for longer than a short interruption, you receive a credit for the affected time without having to ask for it. By short interruption we mean the few minutes it takes a modem to reconnect after a carrier reset or a power blip, which happens on every mobile network and is not an outage. A carrier address change, a slow period on a busy tower, or a few minutes of reconnection are not downtime. An outage is confirmed when our monitoring shows the line unreachable for a sustained stretch, or when you report it and we verify it. Confirmed outages are listed in the dashboard with the credit applied.

What we do not refund

A refund is for a line that failed, not for a line that worked and did not produce the result you hoped for. We do not refund in any of the following cases:

  • A third-party platform restricts, flags or bans an account you ran through the line. We control the network path only; how a site judges you is between you and that site.
  • A measure we took under the fair use rule, such as slowing or pausing a line that was moving bulk files. That is not a fault.
  • A line released back to stock after non-payment under the Terms of Service.
  • Change of mind after activation. The line went live the moment you paid; the time is already yours and the hardware was held for you.
  • Hourly plans once started. They are the cheapest way to try the service, and for that reason they cannot be refunded after the first minute.
  • A speed lower than you expected on a given day. Mobile throughput moves with the tower; we publish typical ranges, not guarantees.
  • An address that repeated after rotation, or that a lookup site places somewhere other than the Loop. Addresses are the carrier's and we do not control their labels.

How to claim

Email [email protected] from the address on your account, or message @ChicagoProxiesBot on Telegram, with the order id from your dashboard and a short description of what is wrong, including the time you noticed it in Central time. Do this while the problem is live if you can: it lets us check the device directly, which is the fastest path to a fix or a credit. Claims must be made within seven days of the end of the affected period. We reply within one business day and most decisions are made on the spot; a credit, once agreed, appears on your balance within forty-eight hours.

Chargebacks

Please talk to us before you call your bank. A chargeback or a PayPal dispute opened without first giving us the chance to put things right closes the account immediately and releases every line on it. Any credit on the account is forfeited, and we will contest the dispute with our records. If you have a real grievance, the process above is faster and ends with you still having a line.

Questions

Can I get cash back instead of credit?

Normally no; credit is the default and it never expires. Duplicate charges and similar genuine errors are returned by the original method.

My account on a site got banned. Is that refundable?

No. A proxy changes where your traffic comes from and nothing else. Decisions a platform makes about your account are outside what we sell.

How long does a credit take to show up?

Usually straight away once agreed, and never more than forty-eight hours. It is applied automatically the next time you check out.
